1997 Ford Escort Brake Booster Power help?
I told a friend I replace the power brake booster in his 1997 Ford Escort car next week ... I I was looking over the schemes, and had a couple of questions. First, in the repair manual says to disconnect the switch resistance of the rheostat light wiring (under the cover panel of the column of instruments) after removing the master cylinder, and reconnect after installing the booster. Does anyone know why this is necessary? Secondly (a silly question, I know) I forget, what the order in which clips to bleed?
Start with the closest to the master cylinder and work your way to the furthest. And so the electrical connector, the cable can be connected to the booster dose. Can cross the firewall and connect there. Usually there are too many unnecessary steps in the manual. Just do it, you will not regret.
