this sounds like the switch is bad. We will work in medium and low, but not overhead. tere is nothing else could be?

It can be a bad switch, a bad connector on the switch or a bad connector in the block resistance engine. (If the high-speed cable connects to the resistor block but avoids the resistance at high speed)
